C'mon Lets Play~ by fireytika

Backstory:
When he was young, Raven loves to play violin a lot. He practicing everyday, and sometimes he skips his dark magic lesson from his home tutor. Raven has hidden talent to mastering forbidden magic, but because of his desire to music, he never practice those magic. His clan, Nightclawler is the first and the original one who can manipulating dark element. His clan also skillful in making poison, they have their own legacy. Despite of their fearsome power, Nightclawler clan is kind and helping their ally to protecting their territorial from falling to Lord Darkness.

Molydes often play to Raven's castle, but sometimes he got ignored since Raven used to play violin a lot.  So, he loves to teasing and bugging Raven when Raven playing his violin. Molydes also hiding Raven's violin in order to make Raven playing with him ( he return it after they playing or Raven will cursed him with Black Cat Curse, it's a bad luck curse). Molydes always brings his Scythe in case Raven got mad and attack him, which is very rare because Raven is very-very patient dealing with him. Despite their differences, they are good friend each other. Which is nice because Raven didn't has many friends because of his magic skill ( yes, he has fearsome aura).

Those cupcakes are baked by Raven's sister just for him ( so sweet!), but he rarely eat them because one of the cupcakes is used for poison experiment ( his sister is poison master), don't worry, this occasion very normal, the antidote is mixed with the tea anyway.

Hey there, sweetheart! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="25" height="20" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="437" title="Hi!"/>

Here I am for my promised critique! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/d/d…" width="21" height="15" alt=":dummy:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="574" title="I am a dummy!"/>

Thank you so much for participating in my forum and giving me the opportunity to critique your lovely work. I like to start off my critiques with a few areas that could use refinement and then end on a few good notes. First, however, I'd like to provide my overall reaction to the piece. Overall I feel that you have A LOT of imagination and scope. In this piece it is obvious that you had a clear picture in your head what this scene would entail. Down to every detail, you have combined several images [including your own sketch] to create one massive, busy scene. Wonderful job, darling. Which leads me to...

- a few points that could use refinement:

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt=":bulletred:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="210" title="Bullet; Red"/> As I said before this is a very busy scene. There's so much going on that it makes the repetitiveness of your background stand out. Because of how much is going on elsewhere, it's obvious that your backdrop is simply the same image repeated over and over again. For future works I would try to avoid this. The piece could be even better if you had found a few different stock images for the background.

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt=":bulletred:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="210" title="Bullet; Red"/> There's an absence of light source for this piece. Something else that can make or break a visual piece, especially one that is a photo-manipulation, is lack of an obvious light source. There are several areas that I feel should have shadows cast... and yet there are several places that you DO have shadows. Once again, this is something to watch for and work on in future works.

And now for a few good points:

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt=":bulletblack:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="564" title="Bullet; Black"/> Your ability to seamlessly and smoothly combine so many elements is astonishing! All of the different items blend so well it's as if they were always apart of the same image. Excluding the backdrop of bookcases, everything else blends and works perfectly. Well done.

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt=":bulletblack:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="564" title="Bullet; Black"/> Those facial expressions are simply perfect. For the scene you describe in your Artist's Comments, your character's facial expressions read perfectly. Wonderful work, dear!

Thank you again for participating in my forum as well as giving me the opportunity to view and critique your lovely work! <img class="avatar" width="50" height="50" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/i/l/i…" alt=":iconilavplz:" title="ilavplz" /> <img class="avatar" width="50" height="50" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/b/i/b…" alt=":iconbigheartplz:" title="bigheartplz" />
